Note:
KGUV6D Keyboard Unlock
The 6D is a FCC Part 90 Certified radio which requires that the keyboard be locked when sold. This feature prevents a user from setting frequencies that may interfere with other radio services.
The user can unlock the keyboard by using the (optional) USB cable and software (included). Set up the communications port and read from the radio. Go to EDIT and then
OPTIONAL FUNCTIONS and un-check KEY LOCK and check MENU AVAILABLE. Now write this configuration to the radio.
Your keyboard should now be un-locked.
