The Comet CA-2x4SRNMO dual band is a 2 meter and 440 MHz mobile antenna. It is a 1/2 wave on 2 meters providing 3.8 dB gain and a 1/2 wave on 440 MHz providing 7.2 dB gain. VSWR 1.5 : 1 or less. This antenna can handle up to 150 watts. This antenna is black with three coils on the whip element. The CA-2x4SRNMO is pretuned, but an Allen wrench for adjusting is included.
This antenna is 40 inches (1.02 m) high. The connector type is NMO.
This antenna does not include the mount or coax.
Fold-Over Feature:
Comet and Maldol
antennas over 29" in length
have this feature built
into the antenna.
Shorter antennas :
Pull up on the element, the
hinge comes up out of the socket and the hinge is exposed.
Taller antennas :
A threaded collar locks the
hinge in place. Unscrew
the collar to expose the
hinge.
Use the fold-over to
enter garages drive-thru
restaurants etc Do not
drive with the antenna
folded over.
